Shopping ^_^
Mama-san had some time off work this morning, and we went grocery shopping together at the center. We had a nice time to catch-up. She asked me all about how school and cram school are going, and even helped me revise for one of the tests for a little bit before she got called in to work, but she is hoping that she can get a day off and take me out to spend the money I still haven’t spent from my birthday. I can buy myself some new clothes.

Hi! I am an English girl myself and saw that you are trying to practice your English. I was wondering if you were taught by an English person, because where you say “and even helped me revise for one of the tests”, this is a very British phrase. Someone who speaks American English wouldn’t know what you meant there. You could also say she helped you ‘review’, which is a more common word for this. You can tell me if I’m being too nosey, but that word just stuck out for me.

Thank you very much for the input. I’ll have to ask Haruna-sensei if that’s the case, when I’m in class tomorrow. I mean…if she is teaching us British phrasing or not.
