I had a feeling, LOL.
I neglected to check GeekySpeaky.com to see who Colleen had picked for Supahstar Saturday this week until just now, and it’s me!

We’d done the interview a little bit ago, but Supahstar Saturday was on holiday last weekend.

I’ve been really out of sync this weekend. I didn’t actually realize what day it was until today. I thought today was Sunday; and that I was just a day late. Ah, well…me being a few days late doesn’t change the fact that Lisa from My Thoughts, Ideas and Ramblings is a great blogger.
She’s going through now, some of the things that I went through about sixteen months ago, preparing for the birth of a baby. She knows somewhat to expect already having one child, but when I read posts about tribulations with crib I can really relate. Cribs are very difficult things to assemble, especially given that often when you’re trying to put them together one of you is heavily pregnant, and the other partner is really stressed out.
It’s funny how you find so many people that you have things in common with in different places; when I read her post about blogging I see similarities in my own life. My husband doesn’t quite understand what the appeal with whiling away time on the computer is either.

Doris is a Supahstar

One of the first posties that I met on the boards was Doris Chua. She has many blogs, and a lot of interesting tips for people who run their own business. I keep forgetting to RSS feed her business blog.
It was interesting to read on her personal blog that the five second rule is actually false. That’s been a long-standing rule in almost every house I’ve ever lived in. I do enjoy reading posts about her son, there’s an insight into some things I can look forward to as my own son gets older. Seeing the entries about his new room have been a special treat.

As soon as I saw Deb’s Surviving NJ blog I saw the post Grim Reaper and knew she had to be cool. I’m a bit of a Death-figure obsession myself, and to see that I’m not the only one over the age of twelve or so who watched “The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy” was a great comfort.
Deb is an author for which I give her incredible kudos. To finish one book takes skill, but to have three published is rock star supahstardom!

Cecile writes Work at Home Musings as she runs a business from her home, while also being a stay-at-home Mom. I know first hand this is not an easy task. In addition to all this she also runs a blog carnival about working at home: Question of the Week, each week a question is asked about working at home for those of us who do to answer. It’s a great way to find out how things are working for others and improve your own ways of managing time and resources to better balance things out.

Her blog is full of tips and tricks for those of us trying to run a business from our homes without taking away from our main priority of raising our children, such as The Secret which reviews the book “The Secret Science of Getting Rich” by Rhonda Byrne. Cass is this Weeks Supahstar

Cass is the writer of Cass’s Midlife Musings, Cass Knits and Digi-Cass. One thing that amazed me is that she’s the mother of eight children. I have one and can barely keep up. That takes some strength and patience, let me tell you.
As well as writing blogs, she also writes fiction pieces I’m quite caught up in the first three parts of her Stitcher story, and look forward to seeing some more.
I admire people who have faith and who explore their faith, and there are several entries on her blog which speak of studying and trying to understand the many aspects of her faith. I wish more people had the grace and fortitude to do this, rather than following along blindly.
There’s one unfortunate thing about Cass, for me, she’s also knows how to cook and now I’m salivating over the Enchilada Recipe she posted, and I just ate!

Lisa the Supahstar!

How do I love Mrs. Lisa? Let me count the ways.
I first met Mrs. Lisa on the PunkymomsForum; we became MySpace buddies and then she helped talk me round to joining PPP. Anyone who can help me find a way to make money to support my family is cool in my book, but it’s not just that.
She fills her HippieSpelunker blog with such insights and anecdotes and I just can’t help but laugh at some of the things she talks about, which is great. I’m a firm believer that you have to go through life with humor, you have to be able to laugh at yourself, if you can’t laugh you’re in a bad way. This is not to say that you should laugh all the time, other emotions are necessary, but humor is what gets you through.
I relate to her lamentations about the state of her office I go through that every day around here, and I don’t even have an office! Plus, who can resist when she posts pictures of adorable canines like these? Her doggie diary entries have me lamenting the fact we don’t have a pooch, pet deposits are evil.
Mrs. Lisa rocks my socks off!

Supahstar Saturday

Suni of Bucket O’ Bulletz is this week’s well-deserved ‘Supahstar’, she’s always such a big help to those of us who are struggling with code and things to help out our blogs, and reading her blog I’m finding much inspiration for my own life.

I find amazing strength in her blog reading about her reason behind it all definitely hit home to me. Oh, and I’m always in the market for more tea so that was good to read, LOL.

I have nothing but respect for someone who has the strength and fortitude to home-school, we’ve been debating about it but I don’t know if my patience could last. Kudos to Suni!
