I don’t have as big of a problem with acne as I had when I was a teenager, but around certain times of the month (such as now) I’m scrambling for home remedies for acne. I get zits in my T-Zone, primarily on my chin though, but occasionally around my nose or forehead. It used to make me extremely self-conscious, but at the same time I’m fortunate that they only last for a few days, unless I start messing with them.
As I get older though I’m becoming less conscious of them, because I realize that most people are too busy being conscious of their own perceived faults and flaws to make a big issue out of ones they see. Especially in the adult community where less is placed on peer acceptability the way it is when you’re in high school, at least with random people you meet at the grocery store.
Still the way our society is it’s so easy to get hung up on the cosmetic things. It’s great to say that we should all pay attention to the internal rather than the external, but it doesn’t happen as often as it should.
