I came into work yesterday to help out with delivery, to find the place in a bigger uproar than normal on a Friday. There were people there from the lotto commission and people still there at 9 a.m. who should have left at 7 a.m. The counters were free of displays and the current duty [...]

We didn’t win the powerball yesterday. Ah, well.
Didn’t win the lotto either.
Apparently someone in one of the Northern states won the entire pot! Congratulations to them!
In the mean time we’ll keep trying every once in a while, probably once or twice a month not every week. Best to do these things in moderation. It always [...]

There’s been a great hubbub at the gas station I work at today because the Powerball Jackpot is at $222 Million. People have been coming in all morning and buying $50-100 worth of lottery tickets. I felt weird enough just buying $2 worth, but Kore and I have been buying a row each for the [...]

A lesson learned the hard way yesterday.
We had a friend over and the group of us were having a meal and putting things together. I had made sushi, Kore made peanut satay and the friend had brought barbeque ribs (an interesting combination for sure!)
However while Kore and I had been finishing up our various dishes, [...]

I’m busy burning several things off the hard drive onto CD-R and DVD-R’s because once again I’m starting to run out of computer memory. When the hard drive crashed we had a data spring clean forced up on us but already we’ve managed to fill it up with a lot of things.
I’ve also been doing [...]

My son and I were just having a debate. Yes, my son is only three, but still debates are a not a rarity around this house.
Him: Mummy, I want french fries.
Me: How do you ask?
Him: May I has french fries, please!
Me: Okay. I — wait — you still have french fries that I gave you [...]

My energy levels have been very random lately, but then with the inability to sleep properly it’s hard to maintain a positive attitude and consistent energy and makes me more paranoid about the idea of not getting disability. I’ve been looking at a website called AbleSea which is a disability resource, and they pointed me [...]

I think that almost every morning of late, “It’s way too early to be up,” this is usually because the munchkin comes into our room demanding “wake up, mummy!” as soon as the sun is up. (So much for alarms, right?)
So this means about 6:30-6:45 in the morning when he used to be in [...]

Everyone is sick!
Hubbie’s had an ear infection for a few days, and I mentioned Monday some of the munchkin’s issues. Well, yesterday he started with a cold, and hubbie said Kore had one also given he’d seen her dosing herself up about 1 a.m. before he had gone to bed.
Yesterday I was a bit throat-scratchy [...]

Mum called me the other day asking if I had kitten milk, which I didn’t. It turned out one of the various cats around their house had given birth and abandoned the kitten after removing the sac. The mother cat was barely six months old and probably confused as anything about what was going on, [...]
