Damp

We’ve been semi-hit by Tropical Storm Fay. I say that because it has passed over us, definitely, but all that it’s really done is make things incredibly damp and a little tiny bit windy. Yesterday was actually very nice weather.

Our new room mate and I went out into town, to the mall, to Office Depot and to the grocery store. I traded a couple of video games and she got some art supplies, and I replaced her mouse which the munchkin had broken when he knocked her laptop on the floor. I’m glad her computer was okay! We picked up a few essential groceries that we’ve been running out of given there are four people in the house now and we’re not quite used to the way food goes, and so far things are going pretty well.

Although my cat has taken to climbing places she didn’t used to and just fell down behind the fridge, but then everyone goes through adjustment periods when they change housing situations. We’re still in “organized chaos” mode more than a little bit, but I’m figuring it will sort out.

Yesterday the weather was really doing a number on my fibro I was very groggy most of the day; but hopefully today will be better, although I did sleep in until 8:30. The munchkin was up and didn’t come looking for me which is unusual but then he was apparently having fun snuggling on the couch with the cat. Nimue didn’t seem quite as thrilled and high-tailed it as soon as she saw me, so far she and the new cats are grudgingly tolerating each other, stealing each others food and have only really had one actual fight, most of the time it’s just hissing and growling.

I think things are still a bit disjointed. This post is kind of all over the place. Hopefully I can pull things together later on, because I have some work to catch up on.

Although in good news I’ve lost another 3lbs so I’m back down to baby weight, and that should hopefully really help kick things into gear. I’m already feeling that my clothing is looser. That’s 8lbs loss total, we’re going to do it this time! I seem to be losing about 1lb a week or so, given I’m only weighing every two weeks or when I remember.
