Busy Weekend
August 18th, 2008We’ve had a very busy weekend, and it’s been tiring as well. I’ve been having trouble sleeping this past week which hasn’t helped. Even though I’ve tried to go to bed at a decent hour it’s always been at least midnight if not one or two a.m. before I’ve finally fallen asleep, to be woken at 4 by my husband going to work and then again at 6 or 7 by my son who wants to be UP and refuses to play quietly in his room for a while instead opting to just yell MUMMY!!!!! over and over again wherever he’s at. It’s nice to be wanted, but some times sleep would be much more preferable even if it’s just for a little while longer.
I’m not going to whine any longer. I’m not going to pout that I can’t do some Las Vegas travel and have a change of scenery in order to feel refreshed and rejuvenated. I know it’ll sort itself out in a few days once I actually get a bit of consistent sleep.
Plus we shouldn’t have to move any more furniture around. We have an extra human member of our household now and two more feline ones. We’re all adjusting to each other. There’s new furniture and lots of boxes at the moment, but things should hopefully be sorted out soon. We just have to wait until after the hurricane passes by to get going on the garage again, and get the tarp on the shed, after that it’ll be a lot easier. In the mean time I’m sure we can unpack some of the boxes and rearrange other things so that it’s easier to get around. We have several bookshelves which are empoty so books can be put there. We have one empty kitchen cabinet. We can make this work it’s just in that stage where everything looks very daunting, because it was late in the afternoon when the UHaul got here to be unloaded and so we just kind of put everything wherever it would fit so that the UHaul could get back to the depot.

That definitely sounds tiring – hope things calm down for you soon. A solid 8 hours will definitely help!

Yes, it does. It’s a shame I hardly ever get it.
