Posted by User ImageAmi-chan on July 18, 2008

Look I remembered again! I’m hoping to become, once again, a regular participant in the Four Foods on Friday meme.

This weeks questions and answers are:

#1. Fruits and veggies. Do you prefer them peeled or not?
That really depends what it is. Not going to eat a banana or an orange unpeeled, but I usually don’t peel apples or potatoes.

#2. What’s your favorite fresh fruit or vegetable smell?
I think that has to be mangos. I love the way mangos smell and taste.

#3. What’s the worst food smell you’ve ever smelled?
Kimchee. My college room mate had a bead curtain that used to hang in her parents kitchen. It stank of kimchee and made me want to vomit.

#4. Share the recipe for the dish that you love to smell cooking in your oven.
Well, it’s nothing to do with fruits or veggies. I love the smell of brownies or chocolate cake, or any cake really cooking in the oven, cookies. All of those sweet and totally unhealthy things.
I cheat with those though. So, the recipe is basically:

1. Buy brownie mix from store.
2. Follow directions on back of box.
3. Cook and Serve preferably with ice cream and whipped cream :)

Occasionally I make cheese cake brownies, which involves. These steps.
Ingrediants:
1 Box Brownie Mix (and the ingredients it asks for).
Sometimes I double the lower portion.
1 packs cream cheese
1 egg
1/2 cup of sugar

1. Buy brownie mix from the store.
2. Follow directions to make the brownie mix and get it ready to go into the oven, but don’t put it in.
3. Soften cream cheese in the microwave
4. Mix in sugar and eggs, until it’s blended.
5. Pour cream cheese mix into brownie pan and swirl ’til marble effect is achieved.
6. Bake in the oven at 375 until golden.

I found it really useful to stretch a small thing of brownie mix in a 13×9 pan when having lots of people over. Occasionally I’m really evil and add chocolate chips to the mix as well.

Be sure and check back with Val at Fun Crafts and Recipes for her wrap-up of everyone’s Four Foods meme participation.
