Since my friend’s been here we’ve been helping each other with some sprucing up over the past few days it’s long and involved, because we’re coloring each others hair not doing acne treatment, which would have been a lot quicker, but not nearly as fun. I’ve collected an assortment of Special Effects hair dye over the past few months and we’ve been going to town, right now the last layer is percolating on her hair, “Pimpin Purple” and then once it’s washed out and dried we’ll touch up her roots. For me we’re going to mix some of the “Blue Mayhem” and “Iguana Green” to touch up the tips of my hair, and we may wind up chopping some of the ends of hers because they’re a little bit knotted, manky and split.
We were joking back and forth about the fact that my Gran always used to say that beauty was pain, and have decided that actually weirdness is pain, because we’ve been using at least four or five different colors on each others hair in various shades, her hair looks like waves of the ocean now, and I was going for peacock colors given I’ve been mostly using red/pink and blue for the past few months and wanted a change.
We’re watching Pirates of the Caribbean 3 now while waiting for her hair to cook because she somehow had missed it but has seen the other two, it’s a great deal of fun.

Hair coloring is definitely fun, but I’ve never tried it with a friend. I really should get on that someday; my boyfriend’s sister and her friend are both into dying hair, so I bet we could make a night of it. It’ll probably stain the tub, but I don’t think we’re getting our security deposit back anyway. I’m pretty sure I lost the deposit on my last place because of a red stain I left on the floor…but the hair color was definitely worth it.
