More Things to Re Do
May 23rd, 2008The one bad thing about buying a house is that if some thing is broken we have to fix it our selves. We’ve done some outside work, and now it’s time to start fixing things on the inside. We have several bar faucets that we could do with replacing on the sinks. The kitchen sink would definitely need that sort, and the sink in the bathroom needs a plunger replaced.
I have to strip the carpet off the stairs and sand them down and re-stain them so that they look nice. We have several light fixtures where the bulbs can’t be replaced because the wires are so loose you can’t actually unscrew the bulbs. Little things like that which you’re not aware of at the start of living here, but find due to living. There’s a couple of strip bulbs too which need to be changed. But we’ve not been here six months yet, so it’s bound to need work.
On the upside the roof is in GREAT shape. I’m reminded how glad I am of that given it’s starting the rainy season right now. The gloomy clouds and rumbling thunder remind me how lucky we are for that small favor.
