ARGH

Disability applications are seriously complicated.

I’m so confused. I think it might be worse than taxes.

When they say NET income, what do they mean? Do they mean before expenses? I mean, on our taxes last year I made negative money from my various business endeavors: blogging and tarot…but I made over $400 from the blogging things…if you don’t count all the expenses. I made only about $200 in tarot income though. Am I supposed to count both? There’s only room for one income…mrrr.

Has anyone who reads my blog ever filed for disability?

You know I wondered this same thing. Because I hear that people get disability for fibromyalgia and I thought well, I don’t know if it would be worth it for me because what about net income? It’s all so confusing. If you find out, post the answer!

Once I find out I will definitely post the answer. Disability is a total maze. I think to make sure you’re committed, or maybe should be committed? LOL.

I’ve been looking at a lot of sites which give tips like sending all your medical/doctor information along with your app to cut down the wait time and find a lawyer etc…but nothing about actually translating the form.

You know it sickens me to see what Americans have to go through for something as simple as disability pay. In Canada we just get a note from our doctor of our condition, and we take that to the GOV and it’s pretty well always that easy.

The only snag is you can’t make any serious money working, or you won’t get much out of them. The whole idea in Canada is that everyone can put a roof over their head and eat regardless if you are lazy, sick, or just plain unlucky.
