He’s growing up!
March 10th, 2008It’s scary to think that the munchkin will be two soon. It’s wonderful at the same time, but mostly it’s scary. I feel like he shouldn’t be two already. Where did the time go? I look back through the entries on the blog and I see so many landmarks, and he’s getting more all the time.
The latest is counting and learning the parts of the face. He can recognize some of the parts of the face but is content to call them all, “Eye!”. You ask him where his nose is and he points to it and says, “Eye!” and then points to my nose or his Dad’s nose and says, “Eye!” he’s always so pleased with himself.
Then a few days ago he brought some stickers over and stuck them to my leg going, “Wahn! Doo!” (one! two!) and giggled away. For the longest time he would count, “Two, two, whee!” or “two! Two! Dooooo! Boom!” because we would play, “One, two, three, whee!” with him a lot, or he would completely ignore “one” waiting for us to say it first and then count up, occasionally going, “Doo! Doo! Five!” and things like that. But he now will count, “one, two, three!!” and the other day when we were lighting candles on Mum’s cake he actually counted to six, but that’s only with lots of encouragement.
He climbs all over the place and knows, “Fish, Dogs, Cats,” “Car” as well now. Any time we walk through the grocery store parking lot he’s saying, “Car! Car! Car!” and this morning he learned the very important word, “Shok-latt” there’s no stopping him now.
