PotD 17: Self Portrait Sunday

November 4th, 2007

I decided to put my Self Portrait Sunday entry on this blog today as it’s my photo blog. It makes more sense overall.

PotD 17: Self Portrait Sunday
So, here we are. I’m watching Gia. The HBO movie that shot Angelina Jolie to fame, which is the life of supermodel Gia Marie Carangi who died of AIDS at the age of 26. It’s an interesting movie. I’m a big fan of Angelina but had never seen this one before.

To see what everyone else has been up to go to Digicass’s entry for today and have a look or post your own.

You look so happy, as if you’re about to burst out laughing. I like it!

Looks like your enjoying yourself. I’m not a fan of Angelina because I’m not a fan of the types of movies she does. But I have a lot of respect for her as a person because she puts her money where her mouth is, so to speak. She does all that work for the UN with children and that’s just great. She also said one time that the UN is a great idea in theory but it doesn’t work the way it should. I can’t argue with that because that’s exactly what I think of the UN :)

ooh I love your hair! I wish I could get away with that… but I’m fairly certain my boss and HIS boss wouldn’t care for it! Oh well!

I had the same problem when I worked at the library. I got in trouble once for even joking about dyeing my hair blue, and they weren’t too happy with the fact I had a tattoo but given it’s on my back it wasn’t really visible to the general public.

They were very uptight there, which was interesting too because they were constantly complaining that the only people who would come to the library were stuffy old people, but yet they acted like stuffy old people.

I have a blue wig which I partially got to wear to work on Halloween just so I could have my freaky hair and it would be okay.

My husband and I often have discussions about Angelina because I love her and love her movies even though they’re not always the best sort. I do really like her as a person too. I was watching some footage of her on Ellen just the other day which was how I realized I hadn’t seen Gia, and her personality is just amazing especially when she was talking about the work she did with refugees and the UN you could tell how truly passionate she was about that work.
