Time and Space
June 20th, 2007We’ve had a lot of good news with regards our apartment situation. Yesterday I found out what our new address is going to be, what our deposit is going to be, and that we’re going to get July’s rent for free at the new place, which is nice seeing as our lease isn’t up at this place until July 31st which would have meant that we would have to pay double rent otherwise.
I have the numbers for electric and water, just need to reserve a UHaul and sort out how/when to change the phone over. Everything’s moving forward it’s so weird.
Tomorrow I get to pick up some more boxes from the grocery store. I at least have a small amount of boxes from the liquor store, enough that we look like a bunch of alcoholics, but I’d rather that than pay UHaul $200 extra for boxes. We need everything we can get at the moment.
We’re going to be saving $310 a month in rent though, which is wonderful. We should be able to replenish our accounts and get quite a bit set aside living at this place.
Well, back to packing boxes ^_^

Have you looked into PODS or something similar? We used a company called ABF for our Nashville/Denver move. They’re cheap, but don’t do in state moves. The nice thing about PODS or a similar company is you don’t have to pay gas like U-haul or the other moving companies. They drop it off, pick it up, and then drive it to your new home. ^_^
