It seems as though there’s never enough time to do things. I realize I’ve been neglecting to update about things lately; but then there’s some weird things going on that I don’t feel should grace the light of the public internet.
In things which aren’t so bad but make things more hectic…we’ll be moving soon, hopefully. We have to go tomorrow and fill out some paperwork for an apartment complex we’re looking at but that’s the final step other than actually having an apartment open before we can move in there. We’ll be paying a lot less in rent and will have a bigger place with a washer and dryer which is very helpful when you have a small child who goes through clothes and bed clothes, and speeds up the process by which you go through your own through trying to feed you their food and so on.
That will be nice. Will definitely help us getting our finances back in order since the car insurance went back up and we have potentially a $1500 medical bill to add to the mix depending on how our appeal process goes.
Today I had a big fiasco with the house phone and also with another medical bill which we had paid, the check had cleared on, and yet still we got a “this is your second notice pay this in X days or you’re going to collections” letter on. Both things have cleared up without us losing any money (except for the possibility of people trying to call me for business–which I grow more and more doubtful will ever happen unless I get a TV ad somehow). The phone company said it was a hardware issue which was not their problem but Radio Shack helped me to find out that it was not a hardware issue. Either way the phone is working now and I also know that the ‘back-up’ phone I have works. I picked up a cheap corded phone at Target a few months ago so that we have a landline phone which does not require the power to be on so that it will work in case we have hurricane related power outages at some point.
So, that’s life. The munchkin is doing fine although still has the tendency to imitate a banshee. Their propensity to do that is dropping though, so hopefully they’re getting out of this phase. He’s gotten really into cuddly animals the past week or two. If he’s not carrying around the giant Pooh Bear he has he’s got something else he’s walking around with and chattering away too. It’s very cute.
