We’ve been very busy and away from the house for the past couple of days.
Monday we spent most of the day at the ILs house. I cooked dinner for them: salmon pinwheels, mashed potatos, corn on the cob and coleslaw; with cheesecake to follow. It went over very well ^_^ which was very good.
That afternoon we’d recieved a call about an apartment complex wanting to give us a good deal on a place to live if my husband would act as a police prescense on their property. It’s a great opportunity for a place to live and to save us quite a bit of money: larger than we’re living in now, with a washer/dryer and the option of cable if we decide we want that. We have to pass credit/background checks and the situation has to go through their corporate approval. If all goes well we should have a place to live at right before the lease is up here, and we wouldn’t need to give a deposit, just an application fee.
I keep waiting for the shoe to drop. The apartments are really nice, the kitchen is amazing, and there’s a seperate room for the laundry right off the kitchen. A great deal more storage space. They’re really nice. There’s only 4 buildings in the complex which means a lot less people than we’re dealing with right now; and hopefully no drunken frat boys taking up the hall outside all the time with their ’shenanigans’.
