First days…

April 1st, 2007

This has been my first few days on new medication. The first few days in the new chapter of my continuing health saga. I know I don’t have it as bad as other people, but I also no longer know what is going on with my health. I thought I had an answer, but now it seems I do not.
I’m not feeling great, but I can already see an improvement which is something. I got a semi-decent nights sleep. I still wake up several times during the night, but I’m able to get back to sleep within maybe ten minutes instead of the normal hour it takes me.
The first night I went to bed around ten and was asleep by eleven, which is also a marked improvement.
My arms and legs are still really sore and stiff, but I’m moving easier overall. Hopefully this is the start of some improvements. I still have to do some more tests, an EKG, a screen for sleep apnea, and a test for diabetes. I think the new doctor is just trying to cover all the bases because he doesn’t have my records from my old doctor and I haven’t been to the GP since August of 2005.

It’s scary but hopefully soon we’ll have some answers, and then we can begin a new course of treatment and get things going. I would like to not feel, frankly, like ass, all the time.

Tomorrow morning I have to go for bloodwork which means other than a snack today no more food until after the first round of blood is taken and then I can eat but I have to go back for more bloodwork. Then Wednesday is the EKG. We shall see what the results bring.
