What’s been going on?
Sunday, July 16th, 2006We’ve been computer less for a little while, but now we have a new machine and I’m playing catch-up. In good news? I’ve been able to put together this Declan Website with a collection of pictures I’ve been meaning and meaning to post and also a video archive, of sorts. He’s doing very well. I’ve been sick off and on for the past few weeks :-p which isn’t so hot, but we’re getting better slowly. I’ve picked up some melatonin which is helping me sleep and Declan is sleeping through the night really well. He actually didn’t wake up until 7 a.m. this morning, and normally he’s up anywhere from 2:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. so other than me bolting out of bed at 4 a.m. panicked to check on him I’ve been getting better sleep, LOL.
Not much else to tell really. New computer. Have the ability to make DVDs now, and I can do British encoding!! Wheee. So, that’s very nice. The DVD program actually asks me which encoding I want to use when I get to a certain point: PAL or NTSC. So, I can be sending DVDs of the munchkin to all the folks in England as well as to all Danny’s relatives in New York and around there. In keeping with that I picked up a nice stack of oooh 100 blank DVDs when we got the new computer (well hard drive) should hopefully last us a good while.
We haven’t had an appointment at the doctor’s with Declan since his two month check-up, but he has to be waying at least a stone (14lbs) because he’s out of the size 1 nappies/diapers now which go up to 14lbs, but doesn’t quite fit in his swimming-safe diapers which start at 16lbs. He doesn’t have to have another check-up until he’s coming up for four months, unless Gods forbid he gets an ear infection or catches my cold or something.
