Two months!

June 25th, 2006

It’s amazing to think that two months ago now we were getting set up at the hospital and starting the induction, but it’s true.

The 2 month check-up had it’s ups and downs, but overall things are going well.
The down was that Declan had to have four shots, and we left the building with him screaming blue murder and very agitated. He took a long time to settle down when I got home, and kept waking up from sleep and whimpering and crying, thankfully Jer’s wife Becka helped us out in the evening, and he’s doing fine now. He only had a slight fever, and really is none the worse for wear.

He’s 12lbs 7oz and 24 1/2 inches long. In the top 50-75% for weight and the top 90% for height.
They did a check-list with me of developmental stages and he’s got all the markers for his age, and also a good half to two-thirds of markers taking him up to 3-4 mos for activity, given he attempts to support his weight with his feet, is lifting his head up if he’s laying on his belly, is making sounds other than just crying, like giggles and vocalizations “ooo” “aaaa” and so on, smiles at you when you smile at him and tries to grab things with his hands.

I’m working on some updates for the family album, so there’ll be some more pictures up there, and possibly a new layout and also some video. I have got an update to the wedding album I realized I never actually uploaded the screen captures I took from the wedding video Auntie A sent us, so those are up there now. So, there are some clearer/larger pictures of the wedding ceremony itself up now, and I was also glad to have some pictures of my sister doing the cooking. I didn’t like her going unsung.
