It’s been a bit of a week ;_;

Thursday, March 23rd, 2006

We’ve had an interesting time of it this week.

Monday:
D’s car died when he was trying to leave work. It started up again when I got there to pick him up (of course) but didn’t sound healthy so we left it there, and were going to take it for repairs the next day, provided all was well, as I had been having ‘weirdness’ (contractions) all day and we were worried this meant I was going into labor, but it seems they were just more test contractions, as I’ve been having every once in a while, but rather than go for two hours pretty consistently and then stop, these were going one or two every hour or so from about 9 a.m. until about 3 p.m. (more…)

Happy Anniversary!

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

It’s strange to think of all the insanity/organized chaos that was going on this time last year. I think by this point my hair and make-up were all but finished and the bridesmaids and I were trying to scarf down Carissa-made biscuits and Mountain Dew and praying that everyone else would be able to get into U City Hall and finish set-up, and all the rest of it.
D and his family were eating breakfast and getting sorted, and everyone was trying to remain calm and not have either panic attacks or nervous breakdowns.

This year we’ve been up for about forty-five minutes. Last year the girls and I had been up since before six, despite not really getting to sleep until 1 or 2 a.m. This morning we’re eating up leftovers, since we had a house-warming/baby shower yesterday, with lots of friends from all over coming to visit and hang out ^_^ so breakfast consists of leftover pizza bites, wontons and sandwiches, possibly followed by the top tier of wedding cake which Mum brought to us yesterday, or we may leave that for lunch or dinner.

Ultrasound 2

He’s head down, which is v. good, especially as his head is completely clear of the placenta, so he should no problem ‘leaving’. The tech estimated he weighs currently 4 lbs 15 oz, which she said is very good. (more…)

Quickie again, change of plans

Thursday, March 2nd, 2006

Ultrasound is now 9 a.m. Sunday.
The police chief scheduled a departmental meeting at 2 p.m. Friday, so I called and rescheduled. D’s getting his taser certification finalized on Friday. This means him getting shocked with a taser by someone else on the department so he knows what he feels like. This also means he can’t exactly miss the meeting for the doctor’s, and I don’t want to go without him so Sunday it is.
