Things seem to finally have sorted out with regards to Medicaid. We got the official ID cards on Saturday, and Dr. R’s office was able to schedule our check-up ultrasound with the FHW on Friday at 2 p.m. The hospital called this morning to confirm my registration and was able to access my Medicaid with my social, so apparently despite Medicaid making me run around like a mad thing on Friday because they decided they needed eight more pieces of information to be sent to their WW office before 3/3 or they would deny me; my eligibility is confirmed because the hospital was able to pull it up and told me that we were free and clear regards fees with them.
So, after Friday we should find out if I do have to have a C-section or not, and get another chance to see the baby. I forgot to ask if we’ll get a 3-D ultrasound or just a regular one, so we’ll have to find out on Friday.

D and I got back from errand running to find that in amongst bills were two notifications from Medicaid that myself and ‘Baby of’ are approved. Baby is approved from 4/1/06 and I’m approved from 2/1/06. Why they couldn’t say that when I called for a status check this afternoon I’m not sure, perhaps it had something to do with the fact that the DCF website is currently down for system maintainance.

Anyway, the point is we’re clear.
At first we thought both myself and the baby were only approved from 4/1, so D was joking that I had to make sure to hold him in, but on the back of the paperwork was more information relating that I was also approved from 3/1-3/31 and 2/1-2/28, so that’s good. We can have the ultrasound sooner rather than later, and have more time to prepare in case I do have to have a C-section (fingers crossed NO).

Survived the doctor’s appointment yesterday. The only drawback for this one was that for the first time Dr. R was running behind, by almost an hour, so D actually missed the first portion of the appointment, because he had to run an errand and left to do that, and of course, as soon as he left I got called in.

I’ve been trying to get Medicaid paperwork filed this week, which, as anything to do with the US government does, is proving to be a ‘bit’ of a hassle.

I survived yesterday morning’s glucose test. I have to wait for Dr. R to let me know the results before I know if I passed, or if I have to have another more extensive test or just try to completely cut out sugar until the baby is born.
