Settling in…
January 13th, 2006So far things are going pretty well. We’ve had our first ugh, in writing that first big rent check, but we have a place to live, and it’s getting more and more like home every day, even if it is strange adjusting to ‘being by ourselves’. Right now, though I’m recovering from ‘the plague’ possible bronchitis and a couple of medical mix-ups which had me being prescribed antibitoics I’m allergic to, which I fortunately caught before imbibing. Danny’s out of training at the PD and has his own car now. He’s still working nights, something he likes, but I’m not too keen on. After much deliberation it was decided I would finish work on 3rd of February, and take the rest of the time to relax and prepare for the baby. We had realized that the amount we would put out in daycare would pretty much negate my paycheck anyway, and the ease of stress of me not working would benefit everyone immensely. Work is disappointed to see me go, but has been very encouraging on the whole, other than the idle threats to chain me to the desk and not let me leave because they’ll never find anyone to replace me. It’s sweet, really, so I’m told. The director at work was suggesting I use the time to finish up my Master’s degree, which probably won’t actually happen. While the classes were very fascinating the more I learned about library politics the less I wanted to be involved with that. I have my hypnotherapy certification, and I also have a budding web design business, which we can use to supplement income as needed, if needed. I recently updated the family photo album with pictures of the new apartment, and pictures from the holidays this year, and last. I’m currently working on some ’screen captures’ I took of the actual ceremony from the wedding DVD which A. Andrea sent to Mum, and will be adding those to the online wedding album, and probably printing some off to put in the actual wedding album as well, given we don’t have that many decent pictures from the actual ceremony, other than the ‘video’.

Hi Cat, It’s Kimberz,
Just looked through your wedding photos. They’re lovely, hope when I get married I look as pretty as you did.
